Summary

WorkwithYork Limited, in partnership with City of York Council’s Sports and Active Leisure Team, are seeking Community Rugby Coaches for temporary work, delivering T1 Rugby a new non contact inclusive sport.

Sessions will be run in various locations across York, and at various times over the next 12 months, as part of York’s Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Impact Plan.

T1 Rugby emphasises fun, fitness, and friendship, providing a welcoming and safe environment for women and girls of all abilities and backgrounds.

We are interested in hearing from people who can work all or any mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, on an ongoing basis. The rate of pay will be from £15.82 per hour.

After some initial training, you’ll provide high-quality Rugby Union coaching to young people and adults of all abilities and ages across York. You’ll also help to establish and develop relationships with the wider community, as well as with the Rugby community.

Ideally you’ll;

Have an understanding of the barriers and awareness of how to engage women and girls in sport and physical activity and be a champion of sport for women and girls.
Deliver high quality coaching sessions to girls (16 years +) and women within the local Community, Community Organisations, Charities and Grassroots Rugby Union Clubs.
Be creative and forthcoming with new ideas to grow Rugby Union opportunities across York.
Promote the sport of Rugby Union and the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 through community events, roadshows, and activities.
