Summary
Concierge / Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator with good written and verbal communication, organisational and Microsoft Office skills is required to join the Environmental Services team of a housing association in Stratford, East London.
SALARY: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (DOE) + Generous Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Stratford, East London (E15) – 100% Site Based
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12-month fixed term contract
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday 8am – 4pm, Thursday & Friday 11am – 7pm
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Concierge / Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator with good written and verbal communication, organisational and Microsoft Office skills.
As the Concierge / Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator you will join the team within the Housing Services Department where you will be providing a high-quality concierge estate management service to residents.
Working as the Concierge / Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator you will be overseeing contractors responsible for cleaning and maintenance, dealing with paperwork, providing notices for residents and ensuring the building is maintained to a high standard.
DUTIES
Your duties as Concierge / Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator will include:
• Overseeing contractors responsible for cleaning and maintaining communal areas, both indoors and outdoors, on a weekly basis and as needed
• Regularly checking for any maintenance issues in the building including, light bulbs, damage, defects and major graffiti and reporting this to the maintenance department and leasehold service officer
• Reporting large items left on the estates and arrange clearance
• Reporting any abandoned vehicle on the estates and arrange removal
• Monitoring and inspecting the estates daily and report to Environmental Services
• Completing Anti-Social Behaviour initial complaints forms and forwarding these to Head Office
• Put up notices and deliver leaflets/ letters and newsletters to residents
• Assisting the sales team with enquiries from potential buyers and show buyers around the properties when necessary
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with residents, visitors, and contractors
• Basic IT skills: confident using Microsoft Office
• You are organised and can confidently handle multiple tasks and requests simultaneously
• Basic knowledge and understanding of basic maintenance tasks and knowing when to call in professionals
• Knowledge of the local area including amenities, services, transportation is desirable
