Summary
Obstetrics & Gynaecology Medical education iswellrecognised and valued as part of professional and team development within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department. The clinical teaching fellow post positions itself well to combine both clinical work, study of postgraduate certificate in healthcare education and the application of this learning to the workplace. The role is primarilyaimed at supporting undergraduate educationbut enables thebringing togetherofPA and medical students from partner universities,as well assupporting with delivery of post-graduate education in the department. There are opportunities fordeveloping innovativesimulationtraining, multi-professional learningandcontributing to improvingoverallquality of training, supervision and education. There is akeypastoral and mentoring aspect totherole as clinical fellows, working with other educators in the department.
