Summary
Cleaning Operative – Burgess Hill, West Sussex – FM Service Provider - £12.60 per hour
Exciting opportunity for a cleaner to work for an established cleaning company situated in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. CBW are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to be based in a commercial building. The successful candidates will have a proven track record in cleaning within a commercial building.
Details / Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 05:00am to 09:00am
- Ongoing contract
- Immediate start
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- Check that all cleaning equipment is safe to use before commencing work
- Undertake suction cleaning, sweeping and washing of all floor areas
- Emptying waste bins and receptacles
- Clean toilets and wash room areas
- Clean fixtures and fittings ensuring that high and low surfaces are free from dust and dirt
- Carpet cleaning, stripping / sealing / polishing of floors
- To maintain store cupboards and replenish allocated cleaning stock / materials
- Provide a rapid response when reacting to spillages and other cleaning or waste
- Report any building defects
- Paying particular attention to health and safety matters including possible hazards
- To be fully conversant with security, fire and emergency procedures
- To comply with the company’s policies, management plans and procedures
Requirements:
- Have a proven track record in cleaning within a commercial environment
- To work to a timescale as agreed with you and your Supervisor/Manager
- Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety practices
- To always act in a professional manner
- Be honest, reliable, and hard working
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Safety boots needed
