Summary
We’re currently undergoing recruitment for a Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our client in the Welshpool area.
Monday – Friday
08:30 – 17:00
£45,000 per annum
Skills and requirements:
A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
Proven experience in the design, simulation, analysis, and testing of electronic and/or power electronic circuits.
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout.
Strong understanding of AC motor control principles.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
Desirable skills and requirements:
Proficiency in using Altium Designer for PCB development.
Experience with power electronics modelling and simulation tools such as MATLAB and PSIM.
Familiarity with Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit design.
Experience developing firmware for DSP-based motor control systems.
Knowledge of EMC compliance testing and design, particularly in the areas of conducted and radiated emissions.
A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
