Summary

Are you experienced working with young people in residential or semi-independent services? Do you want to progress your career in 16+ Care Leavers services? Do you have managerial experience and a positive leadership style? Are you looking for an exciting and ambitious care provider? Apply here!

I am recruiting for a Team Manager to work in a specialist semi-independent service for 16+ young people from a range of backgrounds including fostering placement break down, leaving care preparation or asylum seeking status.

The Team Manager will be overseeing two services under the Registered Manager, leading a team of trained Support Workers, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance and ensuring all young people are correctly safeguarded and given the best possible opportunities.

The Team Manager is a permanent full time post paying £30,000 salary per annum plus on call allowance payment and additional pay if required to go into the service whilst on call.

The successful candidate must have

  • Prior experience working in a children's home or semi-independent service
  • Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Driver and Vehicle (due to travelling between services)
  • Strong experience of working with young people, challenging behaviour and Ofsted regulations

This role is predominantly a Monday to Friday role but due to the needs of the young people could require weekend working where needed and an on call expectation so the successful candidate must be flexible

If you are looking to move out of residential care, this is a fantastic role for you!
