Summary

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people living with dementia and their carers? We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Dementia Helpline Advisor to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential support, information, and guidance to those affected by dementia, helping them access the right services at the right time.

About the Role
Please note this role does not qualify for visa sponsorship, as the salary requirements set by the Home Office are not satisfied.

As a Dementia Helpline Advisor, you will:

Answer helpline calls from individuals who are worried about their memory, diagnosed with dementia, carers, family members, and professionals.
Provide person-centred information, guidance, emotional support, and signposting to relevant services.
Process referrals and liaise with dementia advisors and health professionals.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure the helpline is covered during operational hours.
Weekend work required on a rota basis within a team of three advisors

Hours: Shift-based, covering Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, weekends & bank holidays 10am-4pm
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive individual who:

Has experience supporting people affected by dementia.
Possesses excellent communication and listening skills.
Can remain calm under pressure and manage sensitive conversations with empathy.
Understands safeguarding processes and data protection regulations.
Is IT proficient and able to maintain accurate client records.
Holds a Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
