Summary
Thorn Baker Construction are working alongside a specialist Pump company based in Shrewsbury that provide turnkey solutions for a variety of site specific pumping needs. They are looking to hire a Design Manager on a permanent basis.
About the Company:
This innovative company specialise design, project management, and maintenance of pumping stations. We are looking for an M&E Design Manager to lead the mechanical and electrical design of our projects, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions for wastewater and water treatment.
Role Overview:
You will manage the M&E design aspects of pumping station projects, from initial concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver successful projects.
The Role:
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop design documentation (schematics, layouts, calculations).
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors.
• Manage multiple projects and conduct design reviews.
About you::
• Experience in M&E design within the water/pumping station sector.
• Strong knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
