Summary
The postholder will lead in the provision of an effective telephone, face to face and digital advice service (“Making Tax Digital”) to the residents of Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale and referrals from Welsh agencies, covering in-work benefits, personal and corporate tax advice, assistance to start ups and more. Training will be given, but candidates should have working knowledge of the tax system, be competent using IT and will work as part of a small team contributing to HMRC research, report writing, data collection and reports to the funder. Although this post is based in Nelson, there may be outreach support provided across East Lancashire. This is a fixed term contract to 31/03/2027, currently offered at 18 hours per week, but may be extended depending on funding.
