Adam Mosque & Dawah Academy is looking to recruit a religious worker to join their enthusiastic and highly motivated team. The Mosque is growing rapidly and needs highly skilled and motivated individuals to further its aim of self-rectification. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks. The procedures include questioning at interview stage, verification of appropriate qualifications, acquiring references, and necessary safety checks.
The Role:
• Provide Islamic education and training through different means i.e. Khutbas, lectures, study circles and weekend retreats etc.
• Network and engage with local community and guiding them.
• Support the Mosque fund raising campaigns
• Work with other Mosques and Islamic institutions to improve coordination and cooperation
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the Director and respond in timely manner for all/any queries raised by the management
• Attend staff and management meetings and training as and when required
• Lead and motivate subordinates in achieving targets
. Conduct adult and children to learn Quran, giving daily teaching lessons.
. Will work under the guidance of the Imam of the Masjid
. Assisting the Imam in the organisation of the Islamic religous events.
. Be well versed in the reading, memorisation and understanding of the Quran and Hadith
. Perform other administration duties as assigned by the head imam of the masjid
. Be knowledgeable and willing to perform all the duties outlined.
Essential Requirements:
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good Qur'an recitation skills are required but training will be provided to overcome any shortcomings
• Passionate about raising achievement and providing the best possible Islamic education for all
• Ability to work on own initiative and identify new opportunities
• Ability to relate well to young people and adults
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Participate in ongoing training for continued professional development (Organisational & professional)
• Self-motivated, organised and professional
Desirable skills:
• Successfully completed Alim course or a similar Islamic course
• Successfully completed Hifz course
• Successfully completed Qiraat course
• Good standard of IT skills
