Summary


We are seeking a part-time, hands on person who is happy to work flexibly who will act as Facilities and Fleet coordinator. Our client is based client based in Walsham Le Willows, not far from Bury St Edmunds, Diss and Stowmarket. This position takes responsibility for all building maintenance and ensuring that all company vans arrive to the designated garage on time for any services or repairs.

The Company

Our client is a busy property maintenance company who provide a wide range of services to customers all over the UK. These include gas and electrical safety inspections, Legionella testing, CO and smoke alarm repairs and installations to tenanted properties . With over 25 years experience within the residential lettings industry the company have recently expanded their offering to include boiler installations too!. The role will be working in a lovely rural setting, with a supportive team.

The Job

The primary functions within this role are twofold. Ensuring the building and facilities are maintained as well as the fleet of company vehicles. There are elements of this role which will be require regular attendance and some elements will be more ad-hoc. As such we are seeking someone ideally who lives close by and happy to be called in if something needs fixing on the times you are not in.

We are looking for someone who is multi-skilled,and is happy to be the go-to and take responsibility for the following duties.

Facilities:
• Fire alarm tests
• Ensuring the fire extinguishers are services
• Testing and servicing of emergency lighting
• Intruder alarm testing and servicing
• Reading the meters
• Acting as Fire Warden
• Marking sure the Car Park lights are on a timer for darker evenings
• General facilities and building maintenance such as repairs, office moves, decorating and removals
Fleet
• Ensuring vans are taking to the correct garage when required for serving, tyres and MOTs etc.
• Liaising with the HR department who look after all Fleet paperwork
• Picking up new vehicles and bringing back to site
• Checking tyres
• Taking van to get livery
• Installing trackers on the vans

The Person

We are seeking someone who has some relevant experience in a similar role and the following skills and attributes:

• Practical DIY and general maintenance experience
• Organised and thorough and happy to keep on top of daily/weekly tasks
• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
• Some basic plumbing would be very handy
• Flexible, adaptable and able to turn your hand to anything.
• A full, clean driving licence
• Happy with the driving element of the role
• Excellent communications skills and a flexible approach


Pay & Hours
The role is offered on a part -time, permanent basis with a minimum of 20 Hours a week however flexibility will be required as hours will vary each week. Starting salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Important Info
