Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant – East Leeds
A pioneering company in online prescriptions is expanding its team and seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join its well-established team.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager,as a Dispensing Assistant you will support the preparation and supply of medicines in accordance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately select, label, and dispense medications following standard operating procedures to ensure patient safety.
Handle the dispensing of controlled drugs in compliance with legal regulations. Ensure the correct and safe supply of dispensed medications to patients.
Identify potential medication interactions and physical factors affecting patient compliance.
Maintain and update patient medication records in line with data protection principles.
Assist with stock control and inventory management.
Stay up to date with pharmacy regulations and best practices for ongoing professional development.
Person Specification
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or commitment to enroll and achieve certification).
Dedicated to continuous professional development and training.
Trustworthy, maintaining patient confidentiality.
Strong concentration and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
IT literate.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £23,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience).
Hours: Monday to Friday, plus **one Saturday per month**.
