Summary

The Exciting Opportunity

We are recruiting for the position of Cluster Financial Controller to join the multi-talented Lighthouse Hotel Management team. The role will directly contribute to the ongoing success, growth and development of the group by influencing and improving financial performance and efficiency for each of the hotels within the Southern Cluster.

Reporting to the Director of Finance you will be involved with planning and forecasting, alongside the General Manager and hotel teams. You will perform the month-end process for each hotel ensuring deadlines are met. You will be responsible for the day-to-day efficient running of the hotel accounting and finance processes as well as overseeing the work of the on-site finance assistants. You will maintain accurate balance sheets and other reconciliations, as necessary and will be an instrumental part of the Lighthouse Hotel Management Team.

This role would suit an experienced multi-property Financial Controller looking to gain some brand experience or an established single site financial controller looking for their next career step and a move into a multi-property role.

What Are We Looking For?

The ideal candidate:


Will be an experienced Multi-site FC or an experienced single-site FC in a large hotel, with the ability to multitask and manage a team effectively
Will have excellent communications skills and ability to train and manage the on-site teams
Will have the ability to maintain accurate records
Will strive to make improvements and drive efficiencies
Will have planning and forecasting experience
Will have advanced level Excel skills
Will have an aptitude for learning new systems
Will be willing to travel to properties on a regular basis to support on-site teams


Where Will You Be Working?


The role will offer hybrid working including a mixture of home, hotel and office-based working. The group head office is based in Hillington, Glasgow and hotels within the cluster are UK based.
The hotels are managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, which is the operational arm of the Molo Hotel Group. The group currently have five trading hotels, four situated in the UK and one in the Caribbean, three under construction and various other purchase transactions are underway. Molo Hotel Group plans to add many more hotels not just in the UK but in other key destinations in Europe and the world.
