Responsible to: School Cook, Administration Manager, Headteacher / Deputy HeadteacherContract: Permanent (Term Time Only)
Hours: 12.5hrs per week (Monday – Friday 11:00am – 1:30pm)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and positive person to join our lunchtime team. The successful person will be based in our school production kitchen and assist the school cook with the preparation and service of school meals. Possession of Level 1 and 2 Food Hygiene is desirable but not essential, however you must be committed to undertaking this training as part of the role. The primary duties of the role will be in the kitchen; however, you will also be responsible for assisting with the set up and clear down of the dining hall equipment, and cleaning duties. There will also be instances where you will help with lunchtime supervisor duties.We are looking for a Lunchtime/Kitchen Assistant who is: ● Committed to providing a high-quality service for the school community. ● Hardworking and efficient. ● Able to use own initiative. ● Able to work as part of a positive and happy team. ● Able to maintain confidentiality. ● Able to build very good relationships with children and staff. ● Able to positively promote healthy, safe and considerate behaviour. The Governing Body is seeking an enthusiastic and flexible lunchtime/kitchen assistant to join our kitchen team at St Andrew’s CE VA Primary School. The successful applicant will provide general assistance within the school kitchen and dining hall in the preparation of school meals, ensuring orderly storage of food and routine cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen, helping to ensure a safe, happy and respectful atmosphere for children to eat their lunches. Experience of the role would be an advantage although training will be provided. The successful candidate must be willing to work as part of a team and have good communication skills.
