Summary
Maintenance Person / Handy Man / Handy Woman
Full time equivalent 40 hours per week.
Rate of pay £15 per hour.

We provide care and support to adults over the age of 18 and pride ourselves in delivering high quality care.
About the role:
Numada Healthcare Limited are seeking a Maintenance Person/Handyman to join our team and provide general maintenance of all the homes: Bury lodge Nursing Home, Carleen Nursing Home, Merlin Park Care Home, Redclyffe House, Thalassa Nursing Home and our Domiciliary Agency Numada Homecare.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out general maintenance as specified by audits within the homes.
* Complete maintenance associated with the decorating of rooms
* Complete both inside & outside general maintenance of the homes to a high standard maintaining the appearance of the homes within the group
* Work with the staff to help with maintenance while working in the home
* Store all materials in the locked COSHH cupboard at the end of the working day
* Maintain a safe working environment while working, taking care of trip hazards, and making sure hazardous materials/tools are not left unattended during the working day
* Ensure the working area is left clean and tidy at the end of each day
* Purchase materials as directed by line management
* Maintain a record of work carried out in line with company procedure
* Provide maintenance cover for the maintenance team during leave periods and absences
* Provide on call duties as required by the Managing Director
* Comply with working time recording as required

Requirements – Essential Criteria:
* The right to work in the UK
* To be self-motivated and organized
* To be caring and sensitive to the needs of others
* To be an active team player but also able to work on own initiative
* To be a good communicator
Requirements – Desirable Criteria:
To have experience working in residential and nursing home environment.
