Long Term Futures is working in partnership with several secondary schools in Tower Hamlets to recruit confident and capable Cover Supervisors to support across a range of subject areas. These long-term, full-time positions are ideal for individuals with a degree or strong subject knowledge, who are looking to gain experience in a school setting.

In addition to covering day-to-day lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, you will also support with exam intervention sessions, revision catch-ups and preparation activities for GCSE pupils.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects during staff absences
- Supervise whole-class learning, ensuring students remain focused and on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy and expectations
- Support departments with exam interventions, including small-group sessions for targeted learners
- Help prepare revision resources and track pupil progress in intervention groups
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and report feedback to subject leads
- A graduate or someone with a background in education or subject specialism
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (school, tutoring, mentoring etc.)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a confident classroom presence
- Passionate about helping students succeed academically, especially during exam periods
- Organised, flexible, and professional in approach
- Aspirations to move into teaching or further education roles (desirable but not essential)
- Based in Tower Hamlets, across several well-connected secondary schools
- Easily accessible by:
- Mile End, Stepney Green, Bow Road (District/Central/H&C Lines)
- Shadwell DLR and Overground
- Numerous bus routes from across East and Central London
- Supportive staff and excellent induction for new team members
- Strong focus on exam outcomes, pupil development, and classroom structure
