Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The GORSE Academies Trust is seeking to recruit an inspirational Senior Technical Engineer to lead and deliver Trust-wide technical initiatives and projects. This role includes deputising for the IT Manager when required.
You will take a leading role in managing key systems and services at a Trust-wide level, ensuring the IT services team is continuously developed through training, best practices, and thorough documentation.
Additionally, you will be responsible for handling service outages and technical escalations in a calm and professional manner, ensuring all policies and procedures are upheld.
The successful candidate will be based at one of our secondary academies as part of an IT Service Hub.
We are looking for an individual who has:
• Full UK driving license and daily access to a vehicle, the role will involve working at all of the academies in the Trust.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in an IT support role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to communicate with different groups of people.
• Strong analytical skills and a systematic and logical approach to problem solving.
