Job Purpose

This role is a key member of the Healthcare finance team. The key derivable of the role is to provide and analyse financial information to derive insight and recommendations to drive value added decisions. The job holder will need to have strong commercial acumen as well as excellent reporting experience and systems usage.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Healthcare Services & Pharmacy teams, which spans a wide range of functions, with all aspects of work
Assist in the delivery of weekly and monthly reports for healthcare.
Compile and communicate the KPI’s for healthcare
Monthly reporting on Healthcare (Pharmacy and Nurse) wages and hours
Support the bonus calculation process, maintaining the inputs, sharing monthly updates with the rewards team, and handling queries as needed

Responsible for performing month end processes (Oracle), including reconciliation of Balance sheets
Approving supplier income invoices, challenging the business where appropriate.
Help support the wages reporting and investment model. Produce and circulate monthly wages reports.
Develop and maintain NHS services reporting.

The ability to take responsibility for own workload, and manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness
Provide ad-hoc support to wider finance function and Healthcare leadership team

Internal – Healthcare Leadership team, Regional Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacy Operation team, Healthcare buying teams, Audit, IT, Regional and Area Managers

External – Pharmacy Wholesalers, Audit, suppliers,

Person Specification:

Analytically minded with a methodical and logical approach to work

Strong excel, PBI and financial modelling skills
Strong organisational skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
Interested in the bigger picture, whilst able to produce financial information accurately and on time
Ability to communicate with both finance and non-financial individuals alike
Team player with willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role
Works well under pressure
Ability to deal with large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy
Attention to detail
Willingness to acquire pharmaceutical knowledge is vital
Must have a proactive approach and willingness to learn new things
Interested in the bigger picture, whilst able to produce financial information accurately and on time
Able to make complex things simple

Motivated to progress within the finance function of a growing business
Able to manage a variety of stakeholders under tight deadlines
Ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems
