Summary
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Consultation:
Discussing symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals with clients.
Evaluating clients to identify painful or tense areas.
Assessing client needs and preferences to tailor massage techniques.
Performing Massage Therapy:
Manipulating muscles, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues.
Applying pressure and using various massage techniques.
Increasing range of motion through joint mobilization techniques.
Providing Client Education and Advice:
Educating clients on stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques.
Providing advice on posture and lifestyle changes.
Recommending future massage appointments and regimes.
Maintaining a Professional Environment:
Ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Sanitizing equipment.
Maintaining client records and documentation.
Other Responsibilities:
Promoting and advertising the business (if self-employed).
Attending meetings and training sessions.
Managing appointments and cancellations.
