Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) to join our Neonatal Unit at Nottingham University Hospital, playing a vital role in our ongoing Maternity and Neonatal Redesign Project. The successful candidate will implement the A-EQUIP (Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement) model, providing crucial advocacy, support, and professional development for our neonatal nursing team. This full-time position requires flexibility, covering days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the A-EQUIP model to advocate for the well-being and professional development of neonatal nurses, promoting reflective practice and emotional resilience.
Support the Maternity and Neonatal Redesign initiative by contributing to strategies that enhance nursing practice, patient care, and safety within the neonatal unit.
Provide one-on-one and group support to nurses, assisting them in managing the emotional and ethical challenges inherent in neonatal care.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care and patient safety, particularly in the context of ongoing redesign efforts.
Identify and mitigate potential risks to patient care and staff well-being, ensuring alignment with the goals of the Maternity and Neonatal Redesign.
Facilitate continuous professional development for neonatal nurses through mentorship, training, and reflective sessions aligned with A-EQUIP principles.
