JOB DESCRIPTION: Outreach & Evangelism Minister
JOB OVERVIEW:
Wonderful Gospel Ministries (WGM), based in Birmingham, is a vibrant and fast-growing Church of God serving a multi-ethnic community in the United Kingdom. We are seeking a committed and Spirit-filled Minister of Religion to join our team as an Outreach & Evangelism Minister. This role requires a dedicated, born-again Christian with a passion for spreading the Gospel and equipping others for ministry.
•Salary: £20,930 per year
•Hours: 35+ hours per week, including weekends.
PRIMARY ROLE:
The Outreach & Evangelism Minister will work closely with the Lead Minister to champion and implement the church's vision for outreach and evangelism.
FUNCTIONS AND AUTHORITY:
The successful candidate will lead and oversee WGM’s Outreach & Evangelism Team, ensuring alignment with the church's mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Leadership and Oversight:
oProvide leadership in evangelism under the guidance of the Lead Minister.
oOversee the Outreach & Evangelism Team, ensuring its effectiveness and growth.
2.Training and Equipping:
oTeach, train, and mentor team members to share the Gospel effectively.
oEquip congregants to evangelize within their spheres of influence.
3.Discipleship:
oMeet with congregation members to encourage spiritual growth and maturity.
4.Preaching and Teaching:
oPreach and teach the Bible in accordance with WGM's doctrinal statement during Sunday services and other church events as needed.
5.Administrative Support:
oAssist with church office administration tasks as required.

oA personal commitment to Christ and a clear sense of God’s calling to ministry.
oA thriving prayer life and passion for ministry.
•Interpersonal Skills:
oAbility to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
oStrong people management, team-building, and motivational skills.
oFriendly, adaptable, and approachable, with a good sense of humor and humility.
•Professional Skills:
oProven ability to deliver training and mentor individuals.
oTime management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
oStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Other Skills:
oAbility to evangelize and train others effectively, sharing faith, testimony, and scripture.
oUnderstanding of safeguarding and confidentiality principles.
oCreativity and adaptability in ministry.
•Cultural Awareness:
oCommitment to anti-discriminatory practices and inclusivity.
oKnowledge of additional languages such as Hausa or Yoruba is a plus.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•Degree or diploma in theology (required).
•Ministerial ordination certificate (required).
•At least three years of ministry experience in a Pentecostal church is advantageous.
•Proficiency in English (essential).
