Assistant Civil Engineer/Technician

Wakefield

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 - Dependant on Experience

A civil and structural engineering consultancy with a team of 20 is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic assistant civil engineer/technician to join their civils team of four in Wakefield.



This consultancy’s workload is divided as follows:



- Drainage associated with building projects (75%)
- Earthworks/infrastructure drainage design (25%)
- Highways (5%)



They work across a range of exciting project sectors, including commercial, office developments, residential, warehousing, student accommodation, and retail parks. Their client base spans both the private and public sectors, with project values ranging from £500,000 to £30 million. Engineers/Technicians here are involved in managing the entire project lifecycle.



With ambitious plans for growth over the next 12–18 months, the consultancy aims to expand its team to 30.

Job Duties & Experience:



- At least 2-3 years plus of relevant experience.
- Display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate knowledge/user of AutoCAD Civil 3D & Micro drainage software.
- Responsible for producing highway, drainage and external works drawings under the supervision of senior team members.
- Qualified to at least a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Construction and Built Environment (Civil Engineering).
- Support will be offered for continuing education to degree level.
