What skills and experience we're looking for
Boston Spa Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Senior Assistant Principal to join the current Senior Leadership Team and lead the academy’s sixth form provision. This is an incredibly exciting point in the journey of the academy’s sixth form provision and represents an exceptional leadership opportunity for those seeking career progression with the Post-16 sector or for a current Senior Leader looking to develop a long-term career within a highly successful Multi-Academy Trust.
The successful candidate will have a passion for working within the Post-16 sector and will have the knowledge, skills and experience to lead on all aspects of the sixth form provision at Boston Spa Academy as well as developing the provision to be the ‘go-to’ provider of choice in the north of Leeds.
The ideal applicant will be:
• A highly effective Post-16 teacher with a depth of understanding of the progression into, through and out of Post-16 for learners.
• A motivational and inspirational leader with high expectations of all staff.
• Confident, inspirational and able to communicate and deliver a clear vision for the sixth form at the academy.
• Committed to developing our children to reach their full potential regardless of background.
• Approachable and willing to work in a highly effective manner with staff across the trust as well as the academy’s governors to implement strategies to move the sixth form provision forward stridently.
• Able to deliver outstanding outcomes for young people and develop a provision which enriches their skillset, assisting them in securing their desired next steps and ultimately equipping them with the Gift of Choice.
