Hours: 37.5 hours, 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want to work in the community? Do you have a keen interest in promoting physical health for our mental health patients? If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you! The Clinical Treatment Team is seeking to appoint a Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse on a full time, permanent contract.



You will be a Band 5 RMN working within a multidisciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of clinical duties, including, but not limited to ECT (Electro Convulsive Therapy), administering depot medication at depot clinic, taking bloods at clozaril clinics, monitoring physical health of patients who attend aforementioned clinics and signposting to various other services in the voluntary sector.

As a Band 5 RMN within the team you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Band 6 Nurse; you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.

You will be required to offer clinical and managerial leadership to Health Care Assistants (HCA’s),Band 3 or 4, as part of your role within the team. You may be required to take on tasks that require you to operate electronic staffing record systems such as PDR/supervision.

You may be required to move clinical areas at either short notice or no notice in order to meet the changing needs of the service.

You may be asked to participate in the process of internal rotation as and when required.

You will be expected to be compliant with all mandatory training

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
