Summary
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by engaging in various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Perform picking and packing of products according to order specifications.
- Operate warehouse management systems, including AS400, to track inventory levels.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, maintaining an organised workflow.
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are stored correctly within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while performing heavy lifting and operating equipment such as forklifts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems; familiarity with AS400 is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
