Personal Assistant
GENERAL INFORMATION
I am a 90 year old man living in Llanishen, Cardiff. I am blind and I use a zimmer frame as I have poor mobility. A personal assistant is required to support me with day to day tasks.
My interests include football and horse racing. I also like chatting to people.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Support within my own home and to provide respite for my family.
HOURS OF WORK
Ideally, Monday, Tuesday and Fridays although occasionally cover may be required on other days of the week.
Mornings- 1 hour from 10am
Lunch time 1 hour around 1.30pm
Tea time- 1 hour around 5/5.30pm.
9 hours total
RATE OF PAY
£14 per hour.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
• Support with personal care, washing and getting dressed
• Support with preparing meals
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
• Reliable, committed and punctual.
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy.
• Trustworthy and efficient.
• Experience with caring for elderly
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
