Summary
Join a friendly team at the heart of Northfield and benefit from the support of a Christian community at Northfield Baptist Church.
Ensure the cost-efficient running of the catering arrangements for the community restaurant in conjunction with paid and voluntary staff. Maintain the highest standards of food preparation and service. Plan and control all aspects of the restaurant service, including cooking, cleaning, costing, ordering, stock taking and keeping appropriate records.
The restaurant provides 20-30 "traditional", cooked lunches per day to residents of the attached retirement living apartments. It also serves walk-in customers two days per week.
The Catering Supervisor is required to work 9am – 2pm (not weekends) for a minimum of 3 days per week (maximum 5 days).
The successful candidate will be required to have good verbal communication and organisational skills, be flexible, and have experience of supervising staff and volunteers.
Desirable qualifications include Level 2 and Level 3 Food Hygiene qualifications (training is available, if required),
The candidate should be sympathetic to the values of Northfield Baptist Church.
Successful candidate should be available to take up this post from early June.
