Here at Hemingways we are looking for Seasonal Gift Packing Operatives to join our growing, friendly team for Easter 2025.
Who are we?
Hemingways is home to Voucher Express, VEX Rewards, Cadbury Gifts Direct, Green & Black’s and your first destination for both UK and international business gifts. Hemingways is a specialist e-commerce, sales and distribution company representing a wide range of major UK and International brands, promoting, and selling their products to consumer and corporate markets. The company employs over 150 people, and over 250 during peak trading. Hemingways is recognised as one of the fastest growing private companies in the North with turnover exceeding £200m.
Role and responsibilities-
You will be working in our confectionery warehouse responsible for packing chocolate gifts for our consumer and corporate clients. This will involve-
Assembling gift packages, applying high standards of quality, presentation and attention to detail.
Ability to work at a fast pace without sacrificing quality and presentation standards.
Proactively communicate with colleagues and line leaders about issues- e.g., stock items running low.
Use of scanning and labelling systems.
Ensure hygiene and housekeeping standards are met and exceeded.
Responsible for your health and safety. Plus watching out for the safety of others.
Responsible for your own PPE and washing of it.
Job details-
The successful candidate must be able to start working on one of the below start dates.
6th March 2025.
17th March 2025.
31st March 2025.
Full-time hours are desirable. Hours will be discussed and confirmed during the interview.
Weekend overtime included on-
Saturday 29th March 2025 (9am to 5pm).
Sunday 6th April 2025 (9am to 5pm).
Sunday 13th April 2025 (9am to 5pm).
Weekend overtime is paid at time and a half!
Interviews will be held via a video platform, so access to a suitable device is essential.
Rate of pay- £11.44 per hour. Increasing to £12.21 per hour from April 1st 2025.
Successful candidates must be available up to Easter (20th April 2025).
