At Little Orchard Montessori Nurseries we aim to provide a caring, friendly environment where your child is encouraged to follow their own interests, learn at their own pace and have fun whilst doing so.
Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work (under supervision) with children in the Setting, to provide all aspects of care and supporting learning opportunities, which may include washing, changing and feeding
2. Undertake training to obtain recognised qualifications, including completing assignments on time, and attending all College sessions/ tutorials (if applicable)
3. Uphold standards within the Setting by adhering to all policies and procedures
4. Strive to safeguard children by working to the organisation’s safeguarding Code of Conduct
5. Assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
6. Provide adult interaction with children in the Setting
7. Know and implement the Setting’s confidentiality policy

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Little Orchard Montessori Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Little Orchard Montessori Nursery dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
Level 2 would be beneficial
Experience beneficial
Skills required
A passion to work with children.
Good communication skills.
Contribute towards an effective and supportive team environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided.
Prospects

Duration 15 Months
