Summary
We currently have a vacancy for a Careers Advisor.
Job Purpose
To provide the statutory careers provision, raise aspirations, increase motivation, encourage higher attainment levels and maximise an effective transition to post statutory education, work or training in accordance with raising participation age.
To ensure through individual careers meetings that students are encouraged to recognise their strengths and potential and are empowered to make informed decisions about their education and career choices.
To support the careers programme in school by highlighting the use of careers tools such as Unifrog through the interactions with students.
To help facilitate parent understanding and knowledge of careers and education pathways through attendance at Parent events.
To ensure all students in their interviews are supported and challenged as necessary to facilitate engagement with their school life to support their long-term education and career plans.
Person Specification:
A willingness to embrace a growth mindset.
A commitment to help students improve their Cultural Capital so that their chances of success in the world are enhanced.
A motivated individual who can inspire.
The ability to ‘absorb’ the challenges of the day and still maintain high standards of professionalism.
A team player putting students first and working with colleagues efficiently and effectively, recognising the ‘greater good’ and playing a full part in #TeamBlenheim.
