Head AV Technician/ Project Manager–£30,000 + Bonus– Manchester
The Role
Do you have the technical expertise to deliver outstanding audio-visual experiences? Are you confident managing projects from concept to completion? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Head AV Technician/Project Manager to lead the technical delivery of events and installations. You will work closely with clients, manage production logistics and ensure every project runs smoothly from start to finish.
From small corporate meetings to large-scale productions, you will be responsible for managing the entire process efficiently and within budget.
Due to the nature of the event sector, flexible working hours including weekends and evenings will be required, although standard working hours will be 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Flexible working days and hours are possible, example if working a Saturday, then a days off during the week
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with management of event crew, freelancers and contractors
Production co-ordination of all events from small to large scale and corporate events
Event management and logistics, to include audio and video production, lighting, staging, rigging etc
Assist with crew and equipment resource scheduling
Write and update standard operating procedures, processes, lessons learned and best practices.
Practise Health and Safety procedures on events and installations and ensuring these are adhered to
Assess health and safety requirements and create risk assessments and method statements
Advise and recommend equipment purchases to ensure SBS Audio Visual stays market leaders
Ensure that quality expectations are achieved, standard operating procedures are followed, and production costs are within budget.
Management reporting, job cost analysis, and resource utilisation analysis

Skilled in the setup and operation of a wide variety of audiovisual equipment
