THE ROLE

Assisting the Head of Finance with daily management accounts processing, the role will also include responsibility for posting
transactions, income and expenses to meet month-end deadlines, reconciling bank accounts accurately, developing new processes and
reports, and the line management of two members of the team. Tasks involve posting various income streams and cost centre
expenses, completing month-end processes like retail and fundraising income, investment income movement, legacy income and
expenses processing, and reporting to external bodies. The role also entails engaging with the wider business for cost centre
reviews, forecasting, and budgeting assistance, with key responsibility being to ensure accurate profit and loss reflects monthly
income and costs, and feeding into the forecasting and budget process.


THE CANDIDATE

We're seeking a newly or part qualified (within 6 months of completion) CIMA/ACCA accountant with some demonstrable experience of
month end processes in a busy finance department. They must have excellent ICT and Excel skills and the ability to plan and
organise their workload in order to meet reporting deadlines and deliver cost centre reviews. Ideally the candidate will have some
experience of line management, but must be confident in collaborating with budget holders and stay updated on accounting standards
relevant to the charity sector.
