Are you looking to kick-start your career in data protection and information governance? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a
passion for ensuring compliance and security? If so, this Data Protection Apprentice role at Torus Group could be the perfect
opportunity for you!
As a Data Protection Apprentice, you will support the Group Data Protection Officer (Group DPO) in managing and maintaining data
protection policies, procedures, and compliance measures across Torus Group. Working as part of the Legal Services Team, you will
gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a Level 4 Data Protection and Information Governance Practitioner
qualification.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a strong foundation in data protection law, compliance, and governance while working in a
dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting the processing of individual rights requests within the organisation.
* Assisting in managing data breaches, incidents, and compliance concerns.
* Helping maintain the Data Protection SharePoint Page and key data registers.
* Supporting the development and implementation of data protection policies.
* Learning and applying the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
* Providing administrative support to the Legal Services Team.
* Collaborating with teams across Torus to ensure best practices in data protection.
What We’re Looking For:
* We welcome applications from motivated, detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and develop in the field of data
protection and information governance.
* Good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Ability to work towards and complete a Level 4 Data Protection qualification.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Understanding of data protection legislation (desirable but not essential – full training provided).
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undertake an in-person interview. Interview Dates: Tuesday 22 April (9:00 AM – 12:30 PM) & Thursday 24 April
(2:00 PM – 4:30 PM) at our Liverpool City Centre office
