Summary
Overview:
As Business Support Assistant you will work with internal colleagues and key partners to support the delivery of Council services.
Our team provide a wide range of services within local communities. You will play a significant role in process mapping and channel shifting projects, making our services accessible to everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support all aspects of the effective administration of community services.
• Work in partnership with the Senior Communities Support Officer and Community Development Officer to deliver the Careline Service for vulnerable residents.
• Implement the digital switchover installation road map.
• Attend events promoting the new digital service to residents.
• Be the first point of contact with the public, managing calls and emails received by community services.
• Triage incoming ASB reports. Where additional information is required, gather information and update case records.
• Support the Senior Communities Support Officer with service complaints, FOI’s, and other enquiries associated to service delivery.
• Contribute to the review of existing procedures and the implementation of channel shift options where appropriate.
• Provide support where required across the communities directorate with efficient and effective business process and document production, including minute taking.
• Provide financial support to officers across the services, for example by raising invoices, purchasing orders, and debt chasing.
• Support the delivery of the council plan.
Requirements:
• Comfortable working in an environment that requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Passionate and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service whilst working under pressure.
• Have a sound knowledge and experience of working with partner organisations and stakeholders.
• Ability to use your own initiative to solve problems.
