As an HGV driving instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality training and instruction to students, ensuring they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to pass their HGV driving test and become safe, competent drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver HGV Driving Instruction:
Teach students the practical aspects of driving large goods vehicles, including maneuvering, road positioning, and safe driving techniques.

Develop and Deliver Lesson Plans:
Create and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning styles.

Assess Student Progress:
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills.

Maintain a Safe and Professional Environment:
Ensure that all driving lessons are conducted in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations:
Keep abreast of changes in HGV driving regulations and road safety standards.

Prepare Students for the HGV Driving Test:
Help students prepare for their HGV driving test by providing practice lessons and feedback on their performance.

Maintain a Portfolio of Driving Instruction Competence:
Keep records of training delivered, student progress, and any relevant feedback.

Work with key partners within and external to the Service and respond to driving enquiries concerning internal policies, procedures and legislation matters in a timely and competent way

Skills and Qualifications:
HGV Driving Licence:
You'll need a full, valid HGV driving licence for at least 3 years for the category of vehicle you will be instructing in.

Good Communication Skills:
You'll need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with students of all levels.

Patience and Empathy:
Teaching can be challenging, so you'll need to be patient and understanding with students.

Knowledge of Road Safety and Regulations:
