Summary
To lead on the clinical effectiveness of Pharmacy services, including governance, medication safety and electronic prescribing. To act as the Trusts Medication Safety Officer. To support local medication error reporting and learning and act as the main contact for NHS England and MHRA. To lead on the development and delivery of effective clinical governance relating to medication usage and medication safety initiatives across the Trust. Within the Pharmacy management Team, to contribute to the planning and implementation of change in Pharmacy services or the way they are delivered. To be responsible for leading the clinical pharmacy service to a division, ensuring that the service is provided at the highest possible standard within the available resources. To develop the service to meet the needs of patients and clinical specialties within the Division. To advise on the management of drug expenditure within the Division to ensure optimisation of medicines usage. To lead on and co-ordinate clinical or practice research and audit within Pharmacy. To lead on teaching across the Trust relating to medication usage and clinical pharmacy. Support the education and training of pharmacists.
