Temporary Telecare Officer (Customer Services)

The successful candidate will be required to work 12 hour shift patterns (4 on 4 off) including nights, weekends, and bank holidays to support the service when needed.

Skills & Experience:
Knowledge and experience of all services provided by Customer Services including relevant IT, telephone and manual processes.
Knowledge of service provision for older or vulnerable people
Good understanding of the Telecare service
Experience of working shifts and an appreciation of the need to work flexible hours and in a variety of locations to meet/manage customer demand
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Be able to work under pressure and on own initiative
What's involved with this role: Your role will be to undertake the day-to-day duties of a Telecare Response Officer, visiting residents and supporting them to be helped off the floor and provide first aid to the most vulnerable people in the borough. You will be responsible to the Performance and Operations Manager (Daytime or Out-of-hours Operations).
Key Duties:
Answer and monitor calls to Greenwich Telecare, assess their nature, and take appropriate action, ensuring well-being and security while alerting emergency services when necessary.
Support the delivery of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Emergency Out-of-Hours Service and Lewisham’s out-of-hours service, providing access to council services that meet community and customer needs.
Provide on-site emergency assistance, including first aid, ensure emergency services are called if needed, and secure homes after visits.
Work flexible shift patterns, including overnight, weekends, and bank holidays, and cover additional shifts as required.
Install and demonstrate telecare equipment, complete necessary paperwork, process referrals on time, and maintain equipment in good working order, escalating issues when needed.
