Summary

Purpose:

1. Retain & grow our Bristol Initiative Membership base
2. Engage and account manage our members, so that we are driven, & representative of a strong & engaged community who are relevant to the delivery of our Purpose
3. Represent Business West & our members in growing a prosperous, successful & sustainable economy, where both Business & Community thrive


General Support
• Onboarding new members including processing application forms, set up on CRM & onboarding calls
• Delivering renewal & retention process including invoice creation, booking meetings, debtor management
• Maintain up to date and accurate records within our CRM system
• Supporting members with access to the Business West website including demonstrations on self-serve features
• Management of the team mailbox
• Support in the organisation of Initiative events including liaising with Events Manager, monitoring engagement of members, helping to organise roundtables & tours
• Monitoring social media accounts for key contacts and companies to identify significant developments e.g. change in senior staff, identifying relevant updates to share
Account Management & Member Support
• Manage a base of Bristol Initiative Members, at consistent touchpoints, to provide regular account management/customer care & proactively improve members awareness/promote our Membership services. Including; creating new member profiles, reviewing their usage, sharing new initiatives, encouraging participation of events/services, and capturing intelligence, to deliver in-life value so that are more likely to renew
• Administration support for key groups including Planning, Transport, Climate Change Group & Advisory Committee
• Monitor member engagement, activity & provide reporting to Initiative Manager & Initiative Director
• Attend Initiative meetings, events & roundtables
• Represent Business West & Initiative at a range of internal & external events
• Encouraging members to attend events, take part in survey/feedback activity, engage with self-serve tools (social media page & website)
• Work with & support the Chamber Team to promote events, services, & value & create a lead funnel of prospective members to upgrade to Initiative Membership

• Identification of members to participate & engage in Business West campaigns, projects, case studies, press representation etc.

• Undertake other reasonable duties as required from time to time to support Business West’s business needs

• Excellent communication skills & interpersonal with good attention to detail & nuance
• Confident communicator with a mixture of audiences & level of seniority, in written, verbal & in person
• Excellent organisation & administrative skill with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to bring together & summarise information from different sources
• Highly professional, with awareness of the confidential & apolitical nature of our work
• Highly collaborative & self-motivated
• Ability to use & update CRM Systems, and other software, to manage customer accounts and provide customer care
