Ground Maintenance

Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ground Maintenance professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our grounds are not only visually appealing but also safe and functional for all users. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall aesthetics and maintenance of our outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and other green areas. You will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, including mowing, pruning, mulching, and landscaping. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nature and the outdoors, along with the ability to work independently and with a team. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential for success in this role. In addition to hands-on maintenance work, you will also be involved in planning and executing seasonal maintenance schedules and ensuring that all tools and equipment are in optimal condition. Responsibilities
Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
Plant, water, and care for flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants.
Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas.
Clean and maintain gardens, sidewalks, and parking lots to ensure a tidy appearance.
Apply mulch, fertilizer, and pesticides as needed to promote healthy plant growth.
Remove debris, leaves, and snow from designated areas to maintain safety and accessibility.
Monitor grounds for signs of pests or disease and take appropriate actions to address issues.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional horticultural training is a plus.
Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
Familiarity with basic landscaping tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Knowledge of safe handling and application of chemicals and fertilizers.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience is essential.
