• Good communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Efficient ICT skills.

• Possibly an interest or some experience of working with children with special educational needs.

Further details about the role

As part of this role, you will;

• Assist quality first teaching and learning, working with classroom teachers to support the learning and assessment through the delivery of PPA cover. You will engage in weekly support staff PPA (planning, preparation and assessment) time to support quality first teaching.
• Establish a positive relationship with pupils in order to support them in feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn.
• Help develop positive learning behaviours, working collaboratively with the class teacher toadopt a calm, restorative approach.
• Support our young people with their learning and wellbeing to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.
• Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all according to the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
