About Marketplace

Marketplace is a brand-new online venture for Tesco, designed to give our customers the opportunity to use our website to shop for a wide range of third-party products in addition to the groceries they already know and love. Our initial focus will be on pet food, health and beauty products and alcohol, and as with other online marketplaces, sellers will fulfil orders directly. Join us on this exciting new journey, and you’ll be a key member of a hardworking, collaborative team that’s delivering on our promise to serve our customers, communities and the planet a little better every day.

As a creative pioneer and inspirational manager, you’ll be an innovative business developer. The key to the Marketplace team’s success will be its ability to work with many other teams in the wider Tesco family, including Finance, Digital Product and Online Operations. No two days will be the same as you become an expert in your area of the Marketplace model. We’re building Tesco’s future, and it’s a future shaped by you.

You will be responsible for

  • Taking ownership on projects E2E engaging collaborators , moving work forwards and ensuring timelines are met
  • Working collaboratively across Marketplace, Technology, and Online to find pragmatic solutions to problems throughout projects
  • Finding opportunities to improve the seller experience through process technical and skills based solutions
  • Allocating resources and engaging with relevant subject matter experts leading and motivating them to contribute to the delivery of the project
  • Managing interdependencies and any potential conflicts, working with others to deliver the scope and for the good of customers, colleagues and for the planet
  • Monitoring progress of delivery and updating colleagues including business leaders on the deliverables
