Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our HR Policy and Pay team as our Pay, Reward and Employee Relations Manager. In this role you will get to work on and influence high-profile areas within DCMS including, but not limited, to the annual pay award, overseeing pay policy and developing our wider employee benefits offer.

As our Pay, Reward and Employee Relations Manager, you will be given a unique platform to continually engage and advise multiple internal and external stakeholders. These stakeholders include colleagues across our HR function, senior leaders, Civil Service HR, internal comms, DCMS Boards & Committees and our recognised Trade Union representatives.

You will also be the primary point of contact and oversee service provision for a number of pay & reward services including the DCMS Rewards scheme and providing a range of pay advice and support to our colleagues.

For this role, you need to be confident in analysing a range of detailed information and data in order to inform decisions, as well having the skill to balance multiple short and long term priorities. You will need to be able to build strong stakeholder relationships quickly in order to share expertise and effectively provide support and advice. Our ideal candidate will have experience of pay & reward policy and processes and will be driven to provide a great service to colleagues.

As the Pay, Reward and Employee Relations Manager, you will play a key role in developing the DCMS reward strategy, improving our employee offer and managing a critical service to the Department.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day management of the DCMS pay and reward policy and systems
  • Development and delivery of the annual DCMS Pay award
  • Providing expert advice to colleagues
  • Co - leading close engagement with trade unions and key employee relations stakeholders
  • Supporting teams to monitor and manage departmental reward budgets
  • Preparing briefings and updates to senior stakeholders.
