Summary

We have an exciting opportunity at Derbyshire Recovery Partnership for someone who is passionate about beginning a career in the field of drug and alcohol work.

This role will be based at our Chesterfield office (42 St Mary's Gate, S41 7TH) working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and is a 6 month fixed term contract. During the Trainee role, there may be opportunities to apply for Drug and Alcohol Practitioner vacancies within the service.

As a trainee, the role will involve developing the skill set, knowledge and competencies to become a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner, via a mixture of training, coaching and practice-based learning. The role is based in a busy community drug and alcohol service, working with people using substances in the Chesterfield area of Derbyshire. It will involve developing the skills to offer a range of harm reduction interventions, assessment, risk management and recovery focussed interventions to support our clients attain improved health outcomes and achieve their personalised treatment goals.
