The role
An excellent opportunity to work as part of our small team in Harpenden, providing a first class service to members of Harpenden Building Society. The role is primarily based at the Home Branch in Harpenden. Our Branch Associates are often the first point of contact for our members, and the face of Harpenden Building Society. Associates have conversations with our members about a range of products and services, offering support face to face in our branch network, online and over the telephone to our customers, who we call members. We put our members at the heart of everything we do, going out of our way to offer a professional and personal service, while making sure that we meet the highest operational and regulatory standards.
 Provide an efficient and professional service to our members face to face in the branch ensuring that we do the right thing for them on every occasion.
 Help members with their everyday saving needs, from opening accounts to paying in money and making withdrawals.
 Handle cash and take responsibility for managing your till.
 Support our members face-to-face in the branch, online and on the ‘phone, offering guidance, responding to queries and solving any problems or issues they have.
 Identify and support vulnerable members and adapt our approach to meet their particular needs.
 Take accurate information from members and update their records on various computer systems
 Meet service level standards and agreements at all times, carrying out tasks in line with our policies, procedures and our quality assurance framework
 Maintain sound knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations that apply to financial services firms
 Provide onsite cover at other branches from time to time
 Engage with our community by arranging and participating in various events
