Summary

Darlington Borough Council are seeking to employ 5 x Civil Engineering Craftsperson (Full Time - 37 hours per week) to join our Highways team which are based at Lingfield Depot Darlington.



The successful candidate would be expected to carry out routine and responsive maintenance/repairs, on all Highways Assets and should be able to demonstrate skills in Paving, Kerbing and Concrete works with experience of Bituminous patching and Hot rolled asphalt works desirable.



Knowledge of signing and guarding in accordance with RASWA guidelines is essential. You will have with a minimum of 4 yearsandrsquo; experience of working in a Civil engineering environment. An ability to read and understand drawings and specifications and an understanding of safe working practices is also a key criteria of this post.



You will have NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a Civil Engineering/Highway maintenance field or a willingness to obtain the qualification within one year of commencement.
