ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated HE Wellbeing Officer to join our Central Support Service team. In this dynamic role, you will develop and deliver training and awareness programs focusing on mental health and wellbeing. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing mental health and wellbeing to foster inclusion and improve the overall student experience within our University Centre

As an HE Wellbeing Officer, you will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training sessions on mental health and wellbeing for HE students, FE students transitioning to our university centre, colleagues, and external stakeholders to help raise awareness and foster an inclusive environment.

You will create and implement awareness-raising initiatives and stay updated with the latest developments in mental health and wellbeing to ensure training content is current and impactful.

As the successful candidate, you will be an enthusiastic and adaptable person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to inclusive education. You will have Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent. You must also hold a degree or equivalent and a teaching or training qualification. You will be able to work flexibly, including evening work, and supporting at our off-site provision.
