Summary

Centrica is seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, large-scale, or high-risk projects. This role involves developing key business and DTS relationships to ensure successful outcomes, leading a team in a matrix organization.

Location: Hybrid working with occasional travel to Windsor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality requirements.

  • Develop project vision, business case, scope, budget, and plan.

  • Align projects with DTS and Business Unit strategy.

  • Establish effective project governance and resolve stakeholder issues.

  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.

  • Optimize return on investment and consider alternatives.

  • Direct senior stakeholder communications and change management.

  • Oversee relationships with internal functions and third-party suppliers.

  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and governance requirements.

  • Plan and allocate resources effectively.

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the project team.

  • Conduct quality assurance and health check reviews.

Competencies:

  • Ability to create a compelling project vision and motivate teams.

  • Superior stakeholder management and engagement skills.

  • Strong planning, monitoring, and control techniques.

  • Knowledge of business case development and procurement processes.

  • Familiarity with program and project methodologies (e.g., MSP, Waterfall, Agile).

  • Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.

Work Experience:

  • Proven experience in developing effective working relationships and handling ambiguity.

  • Experience within Utilities/Telco.

  • Governance, prioritization, project management, and assurance expertise.

  • Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with IT control frameworks and standards (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, CMMI, PRINCE).

  • Proven experience with SDLC in digital space

  • Mentor: Coach and support junior product team members, driving product excellence.
