Summary
Trafford Local Care Organisation is a public sector organisation bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in Trafford. The teams work as together and one and aim to improve the health of local people in Trafford by working across organisational boundaries. Our community healthcare teams in adults/children's services are employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and deployed to us, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to work within our Healthy Schools Team in Trafford, supporting the delivery of a range of health services and screenings to an identified school-age population, including their families and carers. You will work under the direction, but not continual supervision of the School Nurses in this varied and exciting role and cover the whole of Trafford.
Ideally with NNEB/NVQ Level 3 qualifications, you must be pro-active and enthusiastic with excellent communication, interpersonal andorganisationalskills. You must be able to work using your own initiative and be computer literate. Post holders need to be able to work flexibly and innovatively with other children’s services colleagues. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. Previous experience of working in a children’s/community setting would be an advantage.
In return we are able to offer a thorough induction programme, supportive preceptorship arrangements and regular supervision as well as ensuring support with continuing professional development.
