Summary
Overview:
Masstemps are currently looking for a MIG Fabricator Welder for one of our busy clients in the Smethwick area. Due to a period of growth they are looking to add an experienced fabricator to their team.
You will be welding and fabricating heavy gauge, architectural steelwork.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding operations on steel components
Working from engineering drawings
Fabrication of bespoke, high end architectural steel (balustrades, staircases. platforms etc.)
Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
Prepping steel, grinding etc.
Maintain a clean and organized work area
About you:
We are looking for an experienced fabricator welder, with a demonstrated background in welding architectural steel products. Ideally you will specialise in the fabrication of staircases.
You must be a skilled fabricator with the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Working hours: Mon-Fri 7am-15:45pm
Overtime available at an enhanced rate.
Temp to perm contract.
Rate: up to £16.50 per hr
