What is the job role?

We are looking for a BI and Insights Manager to join the Performance and Insights Team with your focus being on supporting Children Services working within a very busy, innovative, forward-thinking team. We are working hard with Children Services to build something special, and we believe Children and families deserve the best outcomes-your role will be key in helping us achieve this.

The BI and Insights Manager role will be to

  • Lead on delivering children services insight by extracting information from our data systems, interpreting data, and using it to drive business decisions and actions.
  • Be responsible for making valuable data accessible to colleagues and stakeholders, assisting the organisation in data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the collection and interpretation of performance data by working with stakeholders to articulate performance objectives and success indicators and create appropriate dashboards and performance reporting to support the delivery of high performance.
  • Develop strategies and methods for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Deliver statutory returns, support Ofsted Inspections and any other submissions, accurately and on time

  • Ability to Work with and business partner cross-functional teams to gather and interpret business requirements, managing high levels of expectation to deliver projects to tight timescales

    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights and research to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience and competency across a range of analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, Tableau or SPSS

    Previous working experience in a Local Authority (Children services would be preferable) and in a Business Intelligence Manager or similar role

  • Your advanced research, data analysis and ICT Skills to extract, report and present data
  • Your experience and knowledge of local government including working as a Business Intelligence manager or similar role
